Book Review: Diary Of The Wimpy Kid - Rodrick rules

Okay this book was what I just read last week. Diary of a wimpy kid: Rodrick Rules. This book is teliing how Greg being a really unpopular kid in his middle school and his brother Rodrick. Their parents just left them, and Rodrick was having a party without a permisson and also Greg was just being quite. Because if he tell their parents, Rodrick could tell all of his friends who have a brother/sister that same age with Greg about his summer. Greg's summer was kind of a giant ball of idiot INCIDENT. He spended his summer with writing a dairy and rodrick just found and read it! And how terrible is rodrick and his band. Rodrick is a kind of an IDIOT person that don't know how to type in computer. When he was making essay with computer and without his dad's help, he always alternating from dad's room to living room just to ask some idiot qustion like, "where is the space bar again?". How stupid is he? HAHAHAHAHA! This book is completed with some pictures each pages. Nice isn't it? U will not bored with this book.

I think this book has a really lot ot functions. First, if u're not english, u can learn a little bit of english (just like me! iam Indonesian and I do love this book), and u can feel how being a Greg.

This review is written by myself. I know my english is really really bad. But Iam on practicing it~ Keep reading my blog! I'll catch ya!

Biology Lesson: Hazard Symbols

Okay, I know my blog is king of too much text but no really much picture. so I decided to posting some post with a picture. But also this is related to a school lessons. I know what I wrote are worthless. So what are u waiting for? Still reading these words? Okay, you looks weird there hahahaha. Well, lets check it out! But what I posted in this post is just the basic of Hazard Symbols.

Okay, This symbol named Corrosive. A corrosive substance is one that will destroy or irreversibly damage another surface or substance with which it comes into contact. The main hazards to people include damage to the eyes, the skin, and the tissue under the skin; inhalation or ingestion of a corrosive substance can damage the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts.

Named Explosive. An explosive material, also called an explosive, is a substance that contains a great amount of stored energy that can produce an explosion, a sudden expansion of the material after initiation, usually accompanied by the production of light, heat, sound, and pressure. An explosive charge is a measured quantity of explosive material.

Okay I know u will think this is a Flammable symbol. Yeah, u correct. this is Flammable symbol. Flammability is defined as how easily something will burn or ignite, causing fire or combustion. The degree of difficulty required to cause the combustion of a substance is quantified through fire testing. Internationally, a variety of test protocols exist to quantify flammability. The ratings achieved are used in building codes, insurance requirements, fire codes and other regulations governing the use of building materials as well as the storage and handling of highly flammable substances inside and outside of structures and in surface and air transportation. For instance, changing an occupancy by altering the flammability of the contents requires the owner of a building to apply for a building permit to make sure that the overall fire protection design basis of the facility can take the change into account.

No its not skull hazard symbol. U wrong, this is Toxic symbol. Toxicity is the degree to which a substance can damage an organism. Toxicity can refer to the effect on a whole organism, such as an animal, bacterium, or plant, as well as the effect on a substructure of the organism, such as a cell (cytotoxicity) or an organ (organotoxicity), such as the liver (hepatotoxicity). By extension, the word may be metaphorically used to describe toxic effects on larger and more complex groups, such as the family unit or society at large.

Its not a forbidden symbol. Its Irritation symbol. Irritation or exacerbation, in biology and physiology, is a state of inflammation or painful reaction to allergy or cell-lining damage. A stimulus or agent which induces the state of irritation is an irritant. Irritants are typically thought of as chemical agents (for example phenol and capsaicin) but mechanical, thermal (heat), and radiative stimuli (for example ultraviolet light or ionising radiations) can also be irritants. Irritation also has non-clinical usages referring to bothersome physical or psychological pain or discomfort.

Thanks for reading my post. I hope u more understand about this lesson. See u soon!

News: Who says middle-aged women can't have long hair?

Why is there always a debate surrounding long hair? Writer Dominique Browning, 55, wrote a piece for the New York Times today about how she loves having long hair, but everyone in her life seems to have a problem with it: "My mother hates it. My sister worries about it. My agent thinks I’m hiding behind it. A concerned friend suggests that it undermines my professional credibility. But in the middle of my life, I’m happy with it," Browning writes. And we can see where she's coming from!

When you're a young woman, a long, lustrous mane is often hair priority number one. Bouncing long hair is the most popular style for younger celebrities, it's favored by both designers and stylists, and, from what the many magazine surveys tell us, most men love it best. Ladies under 40 will go to great lengths (heh. pun intended) to get the look—even shelling out hundreds or thousands of dollars for hair extensions. But the cultural acceptability of long hair comes to a screeching halt by the time you're middle-aged. Then society says it's time to fall in line, cut it all off, and, for many women, opt for a short, boring, de-sexualized "mom" haircut, one that's not particularly stylish, but—what the hey!—it's easy to maintain. The prevailing wisdom seems to be: Young women with long hair are sexy, but old women with long hair look witchy and somehow unkempt. Cripes.

[Hairstyles: How to find the best look for your face shape]

This way of thinking seems unfair to us. We believe many, many older women look great with long hair, which can be flattering on a variety of different face shapes and hair types, and can even make you look younger. And as many of us with long hair can attest, it's often actually easier to deal with than shorter styles—you can go longer between trims, it doesn't require much styling to look great, and you can gather it into a quick bun or ponytail to get it out of your face.

But we also have nothing against short hair. Short hair looks awesome on tons of women. So does shoulder-length hair, for that matter. But the bottom line is this: Women should be able to wear their hair any way they want, no matter what their age.

To prove it, we rounded up an array of amazing-looking, over-45 celebs--who rock long hair in a gorgeous, sexy way.

Do you think women should cut their long hair when they get to a certain age?

News: Indonesia's Most Active Volcano Stirs Fear and Anger

The sounds of children playing in emergency shelters at the base of Indonesia's Mount Merapi are a welcome break from the explosions heard hours earlier.

Earlier in the day, panic ensued after a series of eruptions rained ash and debris down on villages as far as six kilometers from the volcano's crater. The clouds of hot gas billowed from Merapi for nearly three hours, stirring fears that the volcano's wrath is far from finished.

One week after the volcano first came to life, more than 38 people have been killed and 70,000 confined to emergency shelters. Morale in the camps is low, and many refugees say they pine for home.

All are aware of the dangers of returning. But many go back to check on their homes and cattle during the day, at times when the volcano is most calm. The head of the mobile brigade near the Umbulharjo evacuation center, Dodik Slamet, is charged with seeing who goes in and out of the evacuation checkpoint. His job is to ensure people are safe, he says, but he also cannot prevent them from protecting their livelihoods.

There are still many cattle there and the cattle are peoples' only treasure, says Dodik Slamet. He cannot prohibit people from returning to their homes, he says, because if they do not go back, the cattle will die.

Trucks and motorbikes with grass strapped to the back are the only vehicles that ply the dust-covered road past Umbulharjo. Refugees there moved to a rescue shelter further down the volcano after an eruption Saturday caused concern that debris might reach the safety zone.

More than 2,000 refugees are staying nearby, at the Kepuharjo evacuation shelter. Rescue workers say supplies are adequate, but they are having trouble with sanitation. Doctors worry about the spread of disease as children get colds and eye infections.

Some of the women and children having been living here for a week. They say they are bored, and have too much time to think about the homes they know have been destroyed.

Fifty-year-old Parmi says she is glad to have her health, but she cannot stop thinking about all that she has lost. Everything at my home is gone, she says. Parmi thanks God she still has her family together, but says she does not know how she can go back. She says she fears returning to a home that is not livable.

The eruptions could continue for weeks, say government volcanologists, since the volcano has not released all the pressure built up beneath a lava dome in its crater. And that fact could strain the government's ability to care for all the refugees, particularly since it must also provide aid to victims of a tsunami that struck off the coast of west Sumatra just one day before Merapi erupted.

The death toll from the tsunami stands at more than 430 dead with another 15,000 homeless. The number missing dropped to less than 100 after many were found alive by search and rescue teams during the weekend.

But rough weather continues to prevent aid from getting to the remote Mentawai Islands, and many in need of immediate medical care cannot be evacuated. Indonesia sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area prone to frequent earthquakes and volcanic activity.

Mount Merapi is one of nearly 200 active volcanoes on this vast island nation. The latest eruption is the volcano's third in two decades, but those who remember the 1994 blast that killed 60 people say this one is worse. With searing gas continuing to speed down the mountain, they say they fear they fear what is to come.
